What are BC Rich Guitars?

If you're not into heavy metal, you can probably stop reading this now.
Still with me? Ok. BC Rich guitars are nothing short of some of the finest playing and most distinctive looking electric guitars made. Founded during the heavy metal boom of the 1980's, BC Rich made their mark by making outrageous looking and sounding guitars for outrageous players. Casting aside the traditional body shapes and styles made popular by such companies as Fender and Gibson, BC Rich struck out to develop guitars that set their players apart from the crowd - and they certainly succeeded.

Played by such notables as Slash (Guns 'n Roses, Velvet Revolver), Allen McKenzie (Firehouse), Jason Krause (Kid Rock) and Kerry King (Slayer), B.C. Rich guitars have always stood for loud and dangerous tone.

Two hallmarks of B.C. Rich guitars are their humbucking (double-stacked) pickups, which provide a very thick, liquid tone when distorted, and their use of the Floyd Rose Tremolo system. This tremolo, unlike Fender's floating tremolo, allows the player almost unlimited use of the whammy bar without running the risk of accidentally detuning the instrument.
