The Epiphone guitar company was founded in the late 1923. The company got their start first as a maker of banjos, but quickly expanded into guitars and mandolins, for which they are most famous for today. Epiphone quickly gained fame as makers of fine instruments for all genres; they got their first break in country music when Ernest Tubb equipped his entire band with Epiphone instruments back in the 1940s. Perhaps the most famous name associated with Epiphone instruments is the Beatles; George Harrison, Paul McCartney and John Lennon played Epiphone Casinos throughout much of their careers. In fact, the famous intro solo on "Ticket to Ride" was played on one of these guitars.

Today Epiphone guitars are played by some of the top players in the world and is one of the most popular guitar brands around. One of the greatest things about Epiphone guitars is their quality with respect to their affordability. What I mean is this: you get a lot of bang for your buck. You can get the same model of guitar that the Beatles used, for under $1000 dollars! I'd say that's one heck of a good deal. Epiphone guitars are available in almost any price range. Student models start at around $250, while the Epiphone Masterbuilt series offer fully professional acoustic and electric guitars for under $2000.

Epiphone guitars offer something for everyone. You can find great deals on epiphone guitars at online guitar stores. Here you can find the best prices on Epiphone guitars in all different shapes and models!
