Guild Guitars: The highest level of craftsmanship at a price that every musician can afford

Guild is a very high-quality and well-rounded manufacturer of great guitars of all kinds. Although most well-known for their extremely high-quality acoustic guitars, they also manufacture a great variety of electric guitars and basses.

Guild guitars had a humble beginning in a small shop in New York City in the early 1950s. Started by several experienced craftsmen, Guild quickly grew a reputation as a fine boutique acoustic guitar. Their popularity so quickly that, in 1965, the company relocated to New Jersey and a factory operation was started. During the folk music revival of the 1960s, Guild catered to these musicians, building high-quality flattop guitars that rivaled Martin and Gibson quality at a price that working musicians could afford.

These days, Guild is wholly owned by Fender Musical Instruments, who continues Guild's tradition of providing the highest level of craftsmanship at a price that every musician can afford. If you ever decide to sell your Guild, you can rest assured that it will retain its value over time. There's even a hot market for vintage Guild guitars.

Guild guitars comes in all shapes and sizes, from the GAD-JF30 Jumbo series, for the guitarist who likes to leave a serious impression, to the smaller D55 Dreadnaught series, perfect for the working musician. On the electric side, the Guild Starfire has been a favorite of both rockers and jazzers since the mid-60s.
