Needless to say, the Carvin company also owes a large thanks to Steve Vai for his very warm endorsements for their amplifiers. Now, back to Ibanez, and his signature JEM models. He still uses his twelve-string JEM74 to this day but his most notable model, the JEM2KDNA, had his own DNA put into the paint that furnished this line! Only 300 of these limited edition guitars were made, but you can bet they were a collector’s item. This, if anything, helps to summarize how influential, talented, and incredible Steve Vai is. He can charge thousands of dollars for a guitar with his DNA in it and people will line up to buy it! That move is just rockstar enough to make up for his days in music college!
