Martin Guitars: Own A Piece of History

What can I say? Martin guitars have been owned and played by more songwriters and performers, whether rock, folk or country than any other acoustic guitar. Martin guitars set the benchmark that all other acoustics are measured by. Throughout six successive generations, Martin has always been a family firm, and the current CEO of Martin Guitars is C.F. Martin IV.

The Martin story began on January 31st, 1796, when C.F. Martin Sr. took of the craft of guitar making in Germany at the age of 15, apprenticing under the great luthier Johann Stauffer in Vienna. Ever since then, the Martin name has appeared on only the finest quality instruments. The invention of the dreadnaught-size guitar, named after a World War I-era battleship, has been their flagship guitar for the last 70 years, under the name D-28. Ever since then, this has been the dominant size and shape of acoustic guitar across genres and generational lines.

To find out more about these exceptional guitars, visit martin guitars. They offer a full line of Martin guitars, complete with all relevant information about, sizes, electronics, woods and the like.

Join the same club as David Crosby, Dave Matthews, Eric Clapton and Paul McCartney and pick yourself up a Martin today!
